First Attempt

This is my first attempt at 3D modelling a car. Why not use my own car while I'm at it? It's the car I know the best anyway. An intimate knowledge of every line and curve helps immensely. This is the model I started with.

For my first stab, the model will be a little simplified. I haven't started on the detail like the hood creases. I'm amazed I can even get the 3D profile to approximate the original.

Day 1-2

Took some time to learn the Blender software. Thinking in the virtual world and maniputlating the scene and objects is not trivial!

Day 3

Click on any image to enlarge. The basic shell takes shape.

Day 4

I made cut-outs for the headlights, side and front vents. Also made crude tail lights.
