A Brief History of the Cobra on Wikipedia
1995 Cobra Specs
Engine Intake Exhaust
- K&N
- Lightning Mass Air meter (90 mm)
- Anderson Power Pipe
- BBK 75 mm throttle body
- Trick-Flow intake elbow
- Kenne Bell 2200 cfm blower (upgrade from 1500 cfm) – within last year (roots style – bottom end torque, like a big block)
- With bypass valve – so air re-circulates vs. heating up
- Cooler Thermostat
- Watson Stainless H-Pipe (no-cats)
- Borla Mufflers – have stockers in basement and they flow just as well or better, Stockers could be a future upgrade with just a little time spent – and probably sound even sweeter.
- Ford Motorsport headers – larger diameter…..more flow.
- 36#/hour injectors
- Custom switch chip – to add timing: (0) base calibration, (1) +3 degree, and (2) +5 degree settings. This based on fuel, weather, and whether or not you hear knock.
Rear End
- Detroit Locker Differential – never a 1-wheel peel, and great for throttle-on oversteer (powerslides). Excellent for autocrossing and track events. That and the upgraded, already large, Cobra Brakes.
- 3.55 Ring and Pinion (Ford Motorsport) – Axle Ratio
- New axle end seals
Suspension/Brakes
- Bullitt Springs (lowers 1 inch)
- Koni Adjustable Shocks - same as 1995 Cobra R
- Slotted and Cross Drilled Rotors
- Ferodo Pads in front, Hawks in the rear
- 1995 Cobra R Wheels (complete with R-Snake in the middle) wider than stock with 5-spoke (curved design)
- New Kuhmo Tires, 275/40 rear, and 245/50, or 255/50 front.
Other info
- 302, roller, GT-40 set up, never touched
- 65,000 approximate miles
- Black Leather
- Mach Stereo
- All Original parts in basement – shocks, springs, race springs, etc.
- Drag strip slips – Best was 12.6xx, on a relatively hot day (80 degrees, and a later run (already hot), so there is more on tap….but must have good fuel).
- Broke in on regular oil, and Mobil one from there on.
- Stock alarm – added later from newer models (not available on 1995, but wiring was there and planned), also an aftermarket alarm – adjustable for shock/bump.
- Spare Belts
- Excellent A/C and heat – best of any vehicle I have ever owned.
